Last Saturday, Erin, Jeannie, Dan and Helen ran in the Giants Race with Erin running the 10K and the rest of us slackers running the 5K. The starting line was just south of the ball park, but the finish line was actually in the stadium across home plate. Very cool! Most of the runners were decked out in orange and black (Giants colors!).
Jeannie and Helen sprinting toward the finish line - or at least attempting to sprint! The weather was just perfect - a little overcast and cool as we ran along the Embarcadero of San Francisco Bay. This is a really great race with lots of cool treats and a very flat course. There was even a children's race that ran around the bases. Next year, we will get some of the younger crowd to run this one.
After the race, we all drove to Santa Cruz for a delightful dinner on the harbor. The weekend was just fun spending it in San Francisco with Erin and Jeannie. Thanks for your hospitality!
