One of the most fun activities that we do while at the Cape is to wait until low tide and walk out onto the sand flats in the bay. The tide takes the water on Cape Cod Bay out about half a mile. The clamming is great the further out we walk. In the above picture we had just finished dinner and walked out to see sunset over the bay.
One of our greatest epicurean delights is to go to Liam's at Nauset Beach and order a large basket of onion rings. . .some of the best ever made.
On several of the nights, after a dinner of seafood, we played a couple of rounds of a game similar to Hearts, but we call it Mormon Bridge, for lack of a better name.
On a couple of the days, we went to the ocean side of the Cape and went swimming and boogey boarding. . .the water was 59 degrees and pretty darn cold. But it was a hot day, so it cooled us off pretty well.
Here is the group from the deck. . .we had a wonderful week with Brad's family.
This is all of the group for Happy Hour, where we had plenty of cherrystone clams on the half shell and baked stuffed clams to eat.
We went to Wellfleet to pick up the lobsters for our lobster feast one night. . .two of us would split a 6-lb. lobster. Brad is shown holding the huge bag of cooked lobsters.
Georgine and Bob are shown here relaxing before the big lobster dinner.
Really excellent lobster!!!!
Here we all are just before digging into all of that lobster. Thanks for the memories, Georgine and Bob. It was great to be with Bill and his family also.
